What's an edition?
An edition is a limited run of a particular piece of artwork. Artists and their publishers and/or dealers agree to, set and honor edition sizes. Once an edition is closed, it's closed forever. Images offered for sale on artlimits are available exclusively through us.
How are your prints made?
The artists we are in collaboration, provide us digital file of their work, then we transfer the file to an artisan printer to get the archival pigment prints on Hahnemühle papers - unless it is specified otherwise at the print info section of the edition. The details and/or materials of each edition are noted on the edition's page and your Certificate of Authenticity will include detailed information about the specific print you bought.
Do prints look exactly like the images we see online?
We work hard to ensure fidelity between the images you see online and our final prints, but the tonal range of paper is often a bit different than what you see on screen depending on the particular image. While we use calibrated monitors, many of you do not have calibrated monitors and therefore your monitor might display colors differently. Additionally, we best fit images on standard paper sizes which means that most images will have a white border which might change your perception of the image.
How do I know that my artlimits print is authentic?
Each print comes with a signed and numbered artlimits Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate is printed on archival paper and signed by the artist. Using certificates, rather than having the prints directly signed, minimizes the handling of the actual prints to guard against possible damage.

How do you ship your prints?
Our prints are put in protective sleeves and shipped in sturdy cardboard envelopes or in tubes. Larger prints are also stored in protective sheets but are usually shipped in tubes. Prints including 70x70cm (27.6"x27.6") and 84.1x59.4cm (33.1”x23.4”) and smaller can be grouped by size and shipped together. Prints larger than the above sizes are always shipped individually in tubes
What is your return policy?
We handle every return inquiry on a case-by-case basis, so if something's awry and/or you're just not totally pleased, let us know. The sooner we hear from you, the better chance we'll have at helping you out. It's our goal to make artlimits a great experience for every collector.

What if a print has a printing flaw?
We work with artisan printers to make gorgeous, museum-quality prints and every print is inspected before shipping. Very, very occasionally some flawed print may slip out. In this case, we will replace the defective print.

Why should I sign up for the newsletter?
Most newsletters go out before the print is released on the site and allow you to buy prints before they are available to wider audiance. Especially, for fast selling editions, they are the best way to increase your chances of grabbing a print before it's gone.
Do artists benefit from sales?
We split profits evenly with artist, minus printing costs.
What's an Artist Proof or AP?
APs are a fixed number of extra prints, outside of the set edition. These are generally not meant to be sold, but rather kept by the artist and/or the publisher. At artlimits, we have an inventory of APs that we share evenly with the artist. Each Certificate of Authenticity paired with the edition mentions the number of related AP.
I live in Istanbul, can I go by artlimits gallery and pick up the print in person?
The prints at artlimits and the prints in our gallery are not neccessarily the same. However we do love visitors at Artlimits Gallery, so drop by!
